A dynamic flamethrower powered by Houdini's Pyro FX 2. Includes simple flamethrower reference geometry and simulates emitted fire. The controls include behavior of the liquid fuel (which supports collisions), Pyro settings and the option to render the simulation to disk as a .bgeo sequence. Note: If using this asset with Maya Plugin the resulting fluidshape container fields in Maya need to use Temperature field instead of default Density. You can find it under Fluidshape->Shading->Opacity->Opacity Input, Fluidshape->Shading->Color->Color Input and Fluidshape->Shading->Incandescence->Incandescence Input. Set these fields to use Temperature. Also, if not showing up in renders RMB on the fluidShape and Assign Existing Material->FluidShape to create the shader connection which might be missing.

This is a great effect, and the tool is well done. Only suggestion would be to either include a shader inside, or auto-add and auto-link an appropriate shader for rendering. The help says "Use the Pyro shader" but when you look at the Materials palette, there is nothing called Pyro. It's not hard to figure out that Flames is the one to use though.

really neet asset, however im having issues with the display in maya, how would i shade this, ...i get that it only displays on the temp setting of display, however where or how would i go about rendering this out? as i get A no render, and B no available ( to my knowledge ) ramps or attributes on the shading. however....i like the controls and how it seems to mist the heat away from the initial fuel, thank so far!!
